Twice in one week...unheard of you say? Agreed. :)
- Yesterday morning, Ty came upstairs as I was blow-drying my hair and told me he was ready to go school now. I thought I was going to die from shock. He asked to go to school??? Yeah buddy!
- He decided he would let me finish my hair first. So I finished drying it and then went to put my blow-dryer up and it fell on my head. I grabbed my head because it didn't feel lovely, and then I noticed my straightener (that was on) fell on the floor. Ty started to reach for it so I lunged forward trying to grab it before him. He, naturally, got the bejeezus scared out of him and freaked out. I couldn't tell if it was sheer terror from his mama or if he got burned. He quickly calmed down so I assumed it was me, but then he told me his fingers hurt. I am an awesome mom. Sometimes I fell like if I say it out loud, it will be true. I wish. Long story, (kind of) short, we put a band-aid on it and went to school. When we got there, he told Ms. Laura that I burned his fingers. I. Am. An. Awesome. Mom. It's not working.
- Last night, Dad treated Tyler to whatever he wanted to eat for dinner. Ty's choice? Chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, corn, chips & guacamole, taco, and chocolate milk. An interesting combination!

- After dinner, Mitch asked Ty if he wanted to take a bath. Tyler told him, "No, me not stinky." Mitch said fair enough and Ty remained bathless.
- Then Tyler told Mitch he needed to watch Toy Story and get snuggled up.

- Today was the day we got new tubes and our adenoids taken out. Ty wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything after midnight. Needless to say, I was afraid this would be a bit of a challenge for the oinker. With this in mind, yesterday I bought him a little Spider Man on a motorcycle to distract from no milk or breakfast. And I bought a movie to watch in the car on the way because I knew as soon as we were in the car, he would want something to eat. Smart. That's what I am sometimes.
- Ty did awesome before, during, and after surgery! From the time he was taken back (which wasn't as terrible as I thought it would be) to the time I saw him again, it was about an hour....not too shabby. The nurses got him to go with them by saying two magic words: sucker and dinosaur. I see how I rank. Just kidding, I was relieved he didn't throw a fit when leaving me!!

Mom, no pictures. I'm getting groceries. |

| Flirting with all of the nurses!! |
- When he started waking up, he was laying on his stomach on his bed and the nurse asked him how he was and what he was doing. He told her he was "just hanging out."
- Of course, when I walked in, he started whimpering and reaching for me. Those suckers and dinosaurs got nothing on me!
- He gave me lots of snuggles and cuddles when we first got home...then he got crabby...then he got CrAzY (that's where we are now).

| Snuggles for his mama. |
- What is CrAzY you ask? I will give a few examples. 1) Starts poking my nose saying, "Nosey, nosey, nosey..." Then he laughs and does it again and again. 2) Performing the "Flying Peanut," which he now insists is the "Jumping Peanut," from every surface imaginable to every surface imaginable, myself included. 3) Rolling around on the floor. It looks like he is playing Steam Rollers but there is no one else playing with him. 4) Getting his suitcase out of his closet and yelling to me that he "just has to pack up so he can go." Um...I'm sorry. Where are you going?
- As I am typing, he is
tossing throwing the football and then getting tackled by imaginary opponents. I fear that I may soon have to be an opponent.
The football is starting to get dangerously close to me and the computer, so I think that means it is time to be done for now. Subtle hint that Ty is starting to catch on to this whole blog thing and knows that one day he is not going to like it much? Good thing I don't take hints well. :)
