i so nice

How the days fly!  I have been putting of writing a post for so long because it has been too nice for me to sit at my computer.  And then I started reading a few different books.  When I read a book, I am so involved that I read it every spare second I have.  I decided it was time to get back to my real world, not my fictional worlds.  I told myself I couldn't start another book until I updated the blog, cleaned my house, etc, etc.  We will see how long I last....I bet I start a new book tomorrow.  Enough about me.  How about I start discussing the whole reason you all are here.  Tyler, Ty, Ty-Ty, Little Man, Big Guy, Monkey, Monster, etc.
  • Driving in the car, on one of our many adventures, and I stopped and got Ty-Ty a cherry limeade from Sonic.  After a few minutes of him sipping on it, he put it in his cup holder.  I asked him if I could have a drink and he quickly moved it to his other cup holder (farther away from me so harder to reach) and says, "You won't like it.  It's just for little boys, not moms."  Apparently I use a similar line too much...
  • Ty keeps telling everyone he got a haircut....um...see below.  He kidds.
I don't look like trouble do I?
  • Mitch picked Tyler up from school, like most days, and Ty insisted on climbing into the truck himself.  Of course, he was taking his sweet time so Mitch said, "Let's go, Ty.  You're burning daylight."  Fast forward a few hours and Mitch is dishing up some ice cream for Ty for a snack and Ty says, "Come on, Dad.  You're burning daylight."  See what I mean about he is his father's son?!!?
  • Speaking of Mitch and Ty...I get home from work to see this.

  • On a happier note, Mitch walked in after the State Track Meet with a molesterstache/mustache and Ty said, "Ew, Dad.  What's on your face?"  Good boy!!!
  • A current obsession of Ty's is green yogurt.  I always have Greek Vanilla Yogurt in the house (because it's delish) but nothing else.  Where did the kid eat green yogurt???  Long story short, he told Mitch he wanted green yogurt when I wasn't home one evening and after much whining, Mitch just assumed I put food coloring in the yogurt.  Now Ty really insists on colored yogurt, mainly green.
  • Tyler loves green yogurt, but not the green fruit snacks in his Star Wars Fruit Snacks.  We were driving home from the doctor's office and I gave him a pack of fruit snacks for a snack.  He eats a few and when he got to the green one, he says, "Here, Mom.  You can have green.  I so nice."  Who am I to turn down a fruit snack?  So I said sure and put my hand back so he could give it to me.  A few seconds later, I get a slimy, slobbery green fruit snack placed oh so nicely in my hand.  I looked at him and he smiled and said, "Don't worry.  I just took little bite."  How nice, Son.  Whenever he has fruit snacks now, he will give me the green. And he always bites off the head of the character first.
  • Ty wanted to go outside and play so I told him to go put on his shoes.  He said he wanted to wear his boots so he was going to go get his socks.  I put my shoes on and see this.
What do you mean, I look like a dork?
  • These days Ty "fights" bad guys.  A lot.  To everyone that drives by and sees that weird kid on the front lawn with a broom stick doing some sweet karate-ish moves, sorry.  He's just protecting our house from the bad guys and/or monsters.
  • Sometimes the weapon of choice is a butter knife.  He will stick it in the waistband of his pants for easy access and then go after the bad guys.  Awesome sounds effects and facials included.
  • Me: "I love you, Ty-Ty." Ty: "Well you see, I love Dad."  Me: "You can love us both." Ty: "Umm...no.  I love Dad."  How rude!
  • Ty loves talking on his phone.  AKA, Dad's old iPod.  He even put on old silicon phone case on it.  He will stick it in his pocket or waistband if he doesn't have a pocket.  He is a little sneaky so I have to check him before we leave the house.
  • I love wedding season.  Seriously.  It's the best!! Of course, Ty has some SWEET dance moves that he thoroughly enjoys showing everyone at the wedding dances.  One of the weddings we attended a few weeks ago, Ty is sitting on my lap and he whips out his "phone."  Hence me needing to check him before we leave.  I need to make sure no phones and/or knives leave the house.
  • Tyler and I were out on a walk and we walked past a golf cart.  Ty got excited and said, "Look, Mom!!  It's Papa Dave's golf cart."  Of course, he wouldn't listen to my reasoning of it just being a similar one, not Papa's.  I'm not sure if you know this or not, but Ty thinks he is always right.
  • Even though the Monster says he doesn't love me, I know he kidds.  I mean, look at the cheeser!

Although I know I have forgotten soooo many Tylerisms, at least here is a little snapshot of our past few weeks.  At times I seriously consider making voice memo's on my phone to remind me--I think I have my mom's memory...scary!  I will try to remember more next time, and I will try to come back out of my fictional world sooner next time...
