I haven't noticed as many "funnies" the past few days...a lot of that has to do with work/daycare so we aren't together as much. Monday morning there was something he did/said and I text Mitch "I can't make this stuff up." What was it? I don't know, if you do, let me know! Momnesia kicked in there. Here are some that I remember though. :)
- Last night as he was taking a bath, I heard a slurping sound and then he said, "Mm-mm. Ty drinking juice. It's good." Juice=bath water. YUCK! Parents of the Year over here laughed though. Laughing just encourages him...bad parents.
- Also, last night Tyler thought he was a gorilla so there was a lot of chest pounding and gorilla noises.
- Uncle Joe taught Ty-Ty about "skeezing," basically a light scratch on your belly/back. Ty is obsessed with it! It is how we relax and unwind before bed. Once Tyler saw his belly, he said he had a tummy ache. I don't take that lightly because last time he told me that there was an explosion that Mama had to clean it up. No bueno. After a little talk about it, he said he needed medicine and started to rub his chest. What does that mean? We have been using Vick's Vapor Rub like it's going out of style...guess he thought I didn't put enough on the first time.
- This morning Ty got on the potty to do his business. Most kids sit to do so, but not this kid. He smiles at me and says, "I like a frog Mama. Rib-bit." Translation: He is squatting on the toilet, like a frog. Needless to say, there was a mess EVERYWHERE! (As a side note, I tried to take a picture but there wasn't a "good" angle to take one...and then there was a mess.)
- Tyler was spending the day with Grandma Karen and they were play arguing. Grandma would say yes, Tyler would say no, Grandma would say no, Tyler would say yes, yadda yadda yadda. Then Grandma said, "I don't think so," and Tyler says, "Me yes think so."
- Tonight Aunt Hanna and Jake picked little man up from daycare. Of course, they had to play football...because we do that EVERY day. Hanna told Tyler it was time to take a time-out for a little bit. Tyler immediately agrees and says that Jake needs to go to time-out. He walked him into the kitchen to the Tyler's time-out stool/Mama's step stool and made him sit down. After awhile, he told Hanna that Jake was ready to be nice now so he could come out of time-out. (Sorry if I didn't get that completely right Hanna...let me know!)
As I'm typing, I keep remembering more and more, but I think I will call it a night! Hope at least one of these puts a little smile on your face. :)
