Apparently I'm sailing the Fail Boat...I've been meaning to post for about a week now...but, better late than never! The biggest problem with me waiting so long in-between posts is that there are a TON of Tylerisms, even though i have forgotten a lot...I will try to limit them today.
| Driving a boat...no big deal! |
- About a week before Christmas, when Tyler woke up, he would say, "I'm so excited!" I would ask him why, and he would just say, "Santa came." Talk about disappointment when he saw Santa didn't come!
- We have an "Elf on the Shelf" named Bertie. Ty would find him and then we would have him talk to Bertie to tell him he was going to be good at school/daycare, etc. One morning, Ty found Bertie while I was upstairs; when I started to walk downstairs, Ty was covering his mouth and laughing. When I asked him what was laughing at, he told me that Bertie is so funny. Hmm....who is being fooled here: us or Tyler?
- Last week when it snowed, Tyler woke up, looked out the window, got the biggest smile on his face and said, "It's Christmas morning!!!" (Have we watched too many Christmas shows??!)
- For some reason, we had a boo-boo on our nose and NEEDED a band-aid for it.
- We told Ty we were going to go to Kansas City to see Gus and Freddie (our nephews). Ty talked to Papa Buck on the phone and he told Ty that he was going to come pick us up and we would all ride together. This conversation happened Friday morning and Ty complained, yelled, and cried A LOT until Saturday at 11:00 am, when Papa Buck picked us up, that he wanted to go to Kansas City. Jeez! We couldn't get in the car without him thinking we were going to KC.
- On the car ride up to KC, Tyler has on fire! He was cheesing and being ornery like it was his job! He kept yelling and making strange noises. At one point he and Uncle A.J. competed to see who could make the noises the longest/loudest. Joyful for all of us in the car! He pulled Aunt Molly's hair and ears, and my most-favorite...he kept licking his toes. NASTY!
- Once we finally made it to Kansas City (for Gus' Birthday Party), Ty and Gus got in an argument about Leo's name, Gus' "Elf on the Shelf." Ty kept insisting it was Bertie. (They don't even look alike!)
| This was taken at the Farm, not KC...but still cute! |
- We went to Ark City for Christmas this year. Let me paint a little picture of how Ty-Ty looked on the way: one of my headbands, dad's duck calls, his rain boots, football in cup-holder of carseat, and engrossed in a movie.
- Watching Ty open up Christmas presents was awesome! He would start to rip open the paper and make a face like he was so excited and go, "oooooohhhhhh woooowwwww." That's the reaction the box would get!
- Waking up on Christmas morning, the first thing Ty saw was a train set and candy...he went straight to the candy, looked at me and smiled a sweet, innocent smile. He reached his hand in the bowl, while still looking at me to see what I would do, and took one M&M and quickly shoved it in his mouth. When he saw I didn't stop him, he didn't stop either until he saw there were lots of toys that needed attention! He (un)fortunately got my uncontrollable sweet tooth.
- While in Ark City for Christmas, Tyler had a lot to say to Aunt Ali and Dustin and Grandma Karen! He and Ali had wrestle mania, took tons of pictures/videos of Ty, and Ty watched all of those videos and laughed and then wanted to see them again.
- When we were getting the car loaded up to leave AC, Ty and Grandma Karen were talking on Grandma's phone. AKA: Ty was taking Grandma's phone and pretending to talk. Here is the conversation we heard: "Hi Gus-Bear. <pause for response> Your birthday party. <pause for response> Wow! That's realllllly awessssome. <pause for response>" Then Ty would cover his mouth and laugh. He has never seen me talk on the phone like that! ;) The video below is not this exact phone conversation, but another comical one!
I have missed a lot because I got busy and lazy....but I will be back with more soon.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I know that we did.
