Mom. Don't Sing.

I know my goal was to post every few days...but now my goal is once a week.  Funny how that happens...but oh the fun at the Pontious household!

I had a little flower in my hair

and Ty really wanted one too.

Who am I to say no??
  • In reference to the picture above, "We look good in whatever we wear."  That's for all of those Dreamphone fans...or people that have had the pleasure of hearing me say that on those many, many days I chose to wear a little less make-up.  :)
  • I was trying to do a quick workout video this morning as Ty was enjoying some delicious Fruit Loops and Milk.  I believe I was his entertainment.  After he had finished most of his cereal, he came and stood by me and started trying to do a squat.  He stopped and said, "Me not have on workout shoes.  Be right back."  He runs upstairs then comes back down in less than a minute with none other than his boots.  Whew!  Can't workout without those boots!
  • Now that the boots were on, he was ready to get his workout on!  I was doing push-ups and Tyler decided to join.  Apparently, I am terrible at push-ups, or the video shows them very strangely.  (I'm fairly certain it's the video.)  I will try to paint the picture:  Tyler laid on his belly with his his hands semi under his shoulders.  He then sniffed the carpet.  When I say sniff, he SNIFFED the carpet very enthusiastically.  Then he put his head up, looked at the TV, and repeated.  Needless to say, I could not continue to do push-ups because I was laughing too hard.
  • Today was also grocery store day.  When I pulled out of our addition, Tyler pointed behind us and said, "No Mom.  You went wrong way.  Steph and Jeff house that way."  :)
  • Ty-Ty found a shoestring by Mitch's closet and grabbed one end and started walking around, dragging the other end of the shoestring.  He drug it over to me, stopped and said, "This my dog Tucker.  Hush, Tucker.  He good dog, but barks lots."  Aunt Ali, I think Ty-Ty loves him some Tucker!
  • Ty has started talking out of the side of his mouth, and making some great facial expressions as he talks.
  • "Mom.  Don't sing."  Accompanied by a finger wag.  HOW RUDE!!  When it's bedtime, he cries for me to sing to him.  (He is really good at trying to stall at bedtime.)
  • Tyler set his milk on the kitchen counter and then went to the fridge and opened the door to get an orange.  He looked at me and said, "Oh no, where'd my milk go?"  I told him it was over there and pointed at the counter.  He looked at me and said, "No, Mom.  Say: Behind you."  So he asked me again, and I said, "Behind you."  He looked at the counter and laughed and said, "Oh silly me."  Then we had to repeat this at least five times.
  • We like to laugh really loud and obnoxiously.
  • Tyler likes to pretend that his cars are going to Kansas City.  All the time.  When we get to go to Kansas City (or Ark City or the Farm or anywhere fun) we can't tell him until right before we go because otherwise we have to listen to him whine and cry until we go.
  • Anytime I ask Ty if he wants a snack, he gets super excited and says, "Yay!  Fruit snacks!"  No child, not fruit snacks, just a snack.
  • Some of you know this, but Aunt Heidi is preggers and is getting induced on the 22nd.  A baby girl is joining the Cowan/Hein clan.  YAY!!  Whoop, Whoop!  I'm hoping after Heidi has her baby, Ty will stop telling me that I have a baby in my belly too.  I feel like that's his way of telling me to cut back on the M&M's.  Easier said than done.
As always, there is more to come!!
