We have had an eventful week or so here! So much to say, but I'll try to keep it short. Who am I kidding, that never happens!!
- Friday, we got to go to the farm and see everybody, except Uncle Joe (poor guy had to work!). There was a lot of funny stuff between the three boys!!! One of my favorites was when Ty said something, I repeated it, Ty gave me a serious look, held up his pointer finger, and said, "Mom, don't say that." I looked at him, and of course repeated it. He did the exact same thing. Hello, Sass!!
| Eating is one of our favorite things to do at the farm! Gus was still sleeping. |
- And we got to ride horses! All of the boys liked it a lot. While Ty was waiting his turn, he was walking around exploring. Tyler's "Mom of the Year" was trying to take pictures and wasn't looking too closely...pretty soon, Papa Buck yells for Ty to watch out. I turn around and he is holding the hot wire fence. I run over there and get him and asks if it hurt and all he says is, my hands out. I guess I get a very small bonus point for him wearing rubber boots. (For all of you that have never touched a hot wire fence, it doesn't feel awesome. Rubber boots help "unground" you meaning, you won't get shocked.)

- Saturday, we went over to one of my aunt and uncle's home for a family gathering/Christmas. When we got there, Ty was super shy!! He wouldn't leave my (or one of my siblings) side(s) for at least an hour and a half. That wasn't normal....after he got over the shyness, he had a lot of playing and catching up to do.
- At the gathering, one of our cousin's daughters taught Tyler how to "begawk" someone. To "begawk" someone, you oh so gently place their face between your two hands and yell, "begawk." Ty missed the gently part though....we are getting "begawked" up in here like it's his job. Thanks Norah! ;)
- When saying our nighttime prayers, we say the "Angel of God." By that I mean I say a few words, Ty repeats. Every night when we get to "be at my side," Ty says, "be at Mama's side." Hahahaa, thanks buddy. I need all the help I can get.
- Tyler is eating dinner, and he turns to say something to Mitch. He started to fall out of his chair and hits his head. Thanks to his (WILD)cat like reflexes, he catches Ty. Ty does his little whine thing, then walks over to me and says, "I fall out of my chair, but Dada caught me like this." When he got to "this," he puts his arms out really fast and jumps.
- On New Year's Eve, Mama and Dada got to go see our friend's, Jill Martin and Logan Mize, perform at the Cotillion. (On a side note, they are both wonderful and you should check them out on iTunes!! Jill's music is available January 7th, but you can get a sneak peak on YouTube. Logan's is in both.) Ty-Ty went to Grandma Karen's for the night. He missed us at bedtime...like wanted us to come get him. Of course, this didn't last long, he got over it fast, but I knew he liked us!!!!
- When I went to pick him up on New Year's Day, he was on fire. He told me about the dogs, showed me how they played football, and then he had to take a break to (pretend) talk to Gus and Freddie on the phone. Whatever they were talking about, it was hilarious to Ty.
- Ty forgot his listening ears in his room when he woke up this morning. Therefore, I had to turn off his show. The Sass tells me he is going to go wake up Dad. After I bit, Ty isn't back, so I go to see what the holdup is. Ty is laying in bed with Dad watching that very show I turned off. Well played little one, well played.
- I get home from work tonight and Ty-Ty says, "Watch this Mama." He stands up on the NEW ottoman, and jumps to the couch. In mid-jump, he yells, "Flying Peanut!" The kicker is, when Ty says peanut, it doesn't quite sound like peanut...you can use your imagination.
I think my short is turning long, so I'm going to sign-off. Hope everyone has a wonderful 2013!
